Education with ŌCASA

Sexual abuse prevention begins with educating the whole community. In response to this, Ōtepoti Collective Against Sexual provide tailored education and initiatives to educate young people about sexual abuse, consent, and healthy relationships.

Mates & Dates:
ŌCASA provide the Mates & Dates programme, an ACC initiative helping young people to have healthy and happy relationships, throughout the Ōtakau (Otago) region. This can be provided at no cost to your school/community group. Contact education@ocasa.org.nz for more information.

This programme teaches young people how to:
  • Identify unhealthy relationships
  • Have healthy relationships based on respect, negotiation and consent
  • Identify inappropriate behaviour
  • Get help if they, or someone they know, are in an unhealthy relationship
  • Safely intervene in situations that could lead to harm

I have survived. I am here. Confused, screwed up, but here. So, how can I find my way? Is there a chainsaw of the soul, an axe I can take to my memories or fears?
